GoldFinchRenovation Renovation Services
Kitchen cabinet refinishing, interior painting and countertop installation, all focused on one goal: a home that looks new without the cost and chaos of a full renovation.
Kitchen Cabinet Refinishing by GoldFinchRenovation
Turn dated wood or worn paint into a smooth, modern finish in the colour you have always wanted.
Cabinet refinishing is our core service. We remove every door and drawer front, clean and sand each piece, repair small chips and dents, and apply a bonding primer followed by sprayed topcoats. Cabinet frames, end panels and islands are masked and sprayed on site so the whole kitchen matches perfectly.
The same process works for bathroom vanities, laundry room cabinets, built-in bookcases and entertainment units, so you can carry a consistent look through the house.
- Solid colours, two-tone kitchens and contrasting islands
- Matte, satin and semi-gloss sheens
- Wood, MDF and many laminate surfaces
- Optional new hardware and soft-close hinges
Interior Painting by GoldFinchRenovation
Fresh walls make freshly finished cabinets look even better. Our interior painting service covers walls, ceilings, baseboards, trim, interior doors and stair railings.
We move and cover furniture, protect floors, fill nail holes and cracks, sand and spot-prime before painting. Edges are cut in by hand for crisp lines, and the work area is cleaned at the end of each day so your home stays livable.
- Kitchens, living areas, bedrooms and basements
- Ceilings, trim, doors and railings
- Colour matching to existing finishes
Countertop Installation by GoldFinchRenovation
New countertops are the natural partner to refinished cabinets. Together they deliver most of the visual impact of a brand-new kitchen while keeping your existing layout and cabinet boxes.
We coordinate measuring, templating and installation so your new counters fit cleanly against your refreshed cabinets, and we can time the work so both are finished together. Ask us about materials and options during your estimate.
- Measuring and templating
- Removal of old countertops
- Installation timed with cabinet refinishing
Refinishing vs. Replacing: A GoldFinchRenovation Comparison
Both routes end with a kitchen you love. Here is how they differ in practice.
| Consideration | Refinishing | Full replacement |
|---|---|---|
| Cost | A fraction of new cabinets | Cabinets, counters, plumbing and trades |
| Timeline | Typically several working days | Often several weeks or more |
| Disruption | Kitchen mostly usable throughout | Kitchen out of service |
| Waste | Existing boxes kept | Old cabinets removed and discarded |
| Layout changes | Keeps current layout | Layout can be redesigned |
Garage & Utility Cabinets by GoldFinchRenovation
Garage, workshop and utility cabinets take more abuse than any kitchen: temperature swings, road salt, oil and the occasional bump from a bike or car door. We prep and finish them with that in mind.
Why GoldFinchRenovation Sprays Its Finishes
Spraying lays down thin, even coats that level out smoothly, without the brush strokes and roller stipple of hand-applied paint. It is the closest you can get to the look of new factory-finished cabinetry, and it reaches into the profiles and corners of shaker and raised-panel doors evenly.
